Persimmon Catering is the enterprise of two chefs, Daryl Bichel and John Nesby.  They have been singing buddies for many years.  As well, they are both volunteers for the fabulous ensemble Blue Heron Renaissance Choir.  Years ago they collaborated in catering a season preview event for Blue Heron, and have been cooking together ever since.  And still singing together too.

Persimmon specializes in food for small events.  Our culinary endeavors explore inventive flavors and fresh, vibrant cooking.  Our menus include marvelous meat and fish dishes, but we particularly relish the breadth of colors, tastes and textures found in vegetarian cuisine.  Baking savory and sweet items is a specialty as well.  We enjoy working with clients to make every aspect of their event successful.

As co-owner of Taylor House Bed and Breakfast, Bichel can offer clients the extraordinary convenience of arranging for function space, catering services and use of in-house linens, tableware, glassware and flatware through Persimmon.  Taylor House, at 50 Burroughs Street in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston, is an Italianate Victorian from 1853.  Beautiful space is available for 40-50 for a sit-down meal and up to 75 for a stand-up event.  In season gorgeous garden spaces offer additional options for events.  See www.taylorhouse.com.
